An inexpensive way to convert your family photographs to digital files on CDs.

What it is:
A quick and inexpensive way to get lots of pictures into a digital file. The files can be used to make good photos about the same size as the original photo, sometimes even bigger.

What it is not:
Photos are scanned by size - not by color or B&W; or by date. The finished product consists of files on a data CD. It can be displayed as a slide show on you computer using Windows XP and clicking "View as a slide show." The photos are not always turned in the same direction and can be changed on your home computer once copied to your hard drive. NO retouching is performed to your original image. A dark photo will scan dark, a light photo will scan light, a good photo will scan well.

If you are a digital photo enthusiast you can use these "digital copy slides" to build a DVD slide show or website.

What Can Be Scanned:
Photo prints that are un-mounted, at least 2x3 inches and no bigger than 8 ½ x 11 inches can be scanned at this "Shoebox Special" pricing. Please note that prints that are mounted into books or albums or mounted onto cardboard or any rigid materials are NOT eligible for the Shoebox Scanner. They can be handled as a "non-confirming" print and reproduced for $2.00 each.

Image Size:
Photos are scanned at 600 dpi at the size of the original photo. We save them as high quality jpeg files.

Image Preparation:
Prepare your photos for scanning by removing any Post-It notes, tape or adhesives. If you face all of the photos the same way, we will try to keep them all heads up.
